Everything in Growth, plus: food safety (daily due diligence checks, HACCP
plans, temperature logs, corrective actions, dated inspection pack). Shopify
and WooCommerce order sync. Card payment links via Stripe. Staff rota with

## Bolt-ons (add-ons)

Essentials and Growth customers can add a single feature from a higher plan
without changing plan. Added and removed by FoodCore on request through the
in-app Support chat; there is no self-service checkout. Billed on the existing
invoice. Features a plan already includes are not offered, so nothing is paid
for twice.

Roughly: two bolt-ons is usually cheaper than upgrading; at three the plan
above is usually cheaper and includes everything else in it.

## Billing

**Payment processor:** Stripe. Cards are entered on Stripe-hosted pages;
FoodCore never receives or stores card numbers.

**Billing cycle:** monthly or annual, from the date you subscribe.

**Adding a bolt-on mid-period:** a pro-rated amount for the remainder of the
current billing period is charged immediately to the payment method on file.
From the next renewal the bolt-on is billed in full alongside the plan, as one
invoice and one payment.
*Example: plan renews on the 10th; a £10/month bolt-on added on the 1st is
charged £3.00 (nine thirtieths) on the 1st, then £35 total (£25 plan + £10
bolt-on) on the 10th and monthly thereafter.*

**Removing a bolt-on:** takes effect at the end of the billing period already
paid for. The feature remains available until then. No refund or credit is
given for a part-period, including where immediate removal is requested.

**Upgrading:** takes effect immediately. Any bolt-on included in the new plan
is removed at the same time, so no feature is charged for twice.

**Downgrading:** takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Bolt-ons are retained.

**Failed bolt-on setup:** if a feature cannot be enabled after a charge is
taken, the charge is credited back in full, automatically.

**Trials:** bolt-ons are not available during a free trial, because a trial
already includes every feature.

**Price changes:** at least 30 days' written notice before a subscription fee
changes, with a right to cancel if the change is to your detriment. Existing
subscribers may hold a price lock — see the terms.

**Cancellation:** at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period.
No cancellation fee, no minimum contract.

## AI checks

Included monthly: 20 on Essentials, 50 on Growth, 100 on Core. Unused checks do
not roll over. Top-up credits are available if more are needed. Stock control's
delivery-note scanning consumes the same allowance. AI checks are assistive:
they flag missing or implausible data. They do not determine allergen content,
which is derived from the ingredient records you build from supplier
specifications.

## Payment handling for your own customers

Core (or the Card payment links bolt-on) lets you take payments from your own
customers through Stripe Connect under your own Stripe account. FoodCore
charges a 1% platform fee on payments taken through a FoodCore-hosted payment
link, in addition to Stripe's own processing fees. Orders imported from Shopify
or WooCommerce carry no platform fee, because no money passes through FoodCore.

## FAQ

**Do you offer a discount for paying annually?**
Yes. Annual billing is ten months' price for twelve months' service on every
plan and every bolt-on — £50 off Essentials, £80 off Growth, £130 off Core.

**Is VAT added to these prices?**
No. FoodCore.io Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added at checkout
and none is contained within the price. If your own business is VAT registered,
there is no input VAT on a FoodCore invoice to reclaim.

**Is there a free trial?**
Seven days, with every feature unlocked, no card required.

**Is there a free plan?**
No. There is a permanently free recipe cost calculator at
https://foodcore.io/recipe-cost-calculator — unlimited, no account required —
which is separate from any subscription.

**Is there a setup fee or minimum contract?**
Neither.

**Can I change plan later?**
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the end of the current
billing period. Data is preserved either way.

**How do I buy a bolt-on?**
Open Support in the app, choose the Bolt-on topic and pick the feature.
FoodCore adds it, usually the same day. There is no self-service checkout,
deliberately, so dependencies and duplicate purchases can be caught first.

**What happens to my data if I stop paying?**
It is retained so you can export it: 90 days for an account that has ever paid,
30 days for a used trial, 7 days for a barely used trial, counted from the day
the account is paused. Restoring the account resets the clock. A full export
(CSV plus JSON) is available at any time from Settings → Your data.

**Do you charge per user?**
No. Essentials and Growth are single-user; Core includes unlimited team logins
with per-feature permissions. There is no per-seat pricing at any tier.

**Do you offer enterprise or custom pricing?**
No. The published prices are the only prices. FoodCore is built for food
businesses with roughly 1–15 staff; larger multi-site operations needing
procurement, EDI or accredited nutritional analysis are better served
elsewhere.

**Who is this not for?**
Businesses needing 24/7 support (FoodCore is run by one person), accredited
back-of-pack nutrition panels, multi-site procurement or EDI, or an EPOS or
storefront. FoodCore is back-of-house only.
